Here are three ways sellers should prepare their homes for sale.
Home sellers, have you been sitting on the fence thinking about bringing your home on the market? I want to talk to you about first impressions and how you can get the top price for your home in this market by paying close attention to these three things:
1. Curb appeal. First impressions matter in real estate too. Most people will see your home for the first time online, and when driving by, so it’s particularly important to make sure that your yard and landscaping are in great shape and that no toys are in the yard.
2. Freshen up the interior. The three most important rooms that you can start with are your kitchen, master bedroom, and bathrooms. Pay attention to the clutter in all three of those rooms. If you need a little paint and a fixing up, now’s the time to do that.
3. Technology. We have many first-time homebuyers who are young professionals looking for homes with home offices, and tech hookups are very important to them. We see a lot of Ring doorbells and thermostats in homes nowadays, and many people like that technology connection.
If you have any questions or would like a list of other items to help boost your sale price, give me a call or send me an email. I’d love to be your real estate resource.
