No one knows for certain what 2022 will look like, and no one has a crystal ball; however, that hasn’t stopped people from speculating. Instead of making wild predictions, I want to focus on tips that work no matter what the market will look like.

If you are serious about buying this year, there are a few steps you should take. First, get connected with a trusted real estate agent. Next, reach out to a bank or lender and get pre-approved. Finally, use third-party sites to view homes, but don’t pay attention to their ads. Sites like Zillow will try to connect you with a random agent, but don’t let them. When you find something you like, call the agent you decided to work with in step one, and they’ll help you make the right decision.
For sellers, the process starts out the same way: Find an agent you work well with. Some people want to skip commission fees by selling their homes themselves, but it isn’t worth it, especially in this market. A good agent is priceless.
