Here’s why people are leaving the city for areas like the Finger Lakes.
Have you noticed that a lot of people are migrating into different areas of the country? The 2020 Census just came out, and it referenced this recent migration from some of the country’s biggest cities.
It got me thinking about the beautiful upstate New York area we call the Finger Lakes. Over the past year, I’ve certainly noticed that a lot of buyers in the area are coming from larger metropolitan areas and looking for lifestyle changes.
What’s so unique about upstate New York? Everyone who comes here, whether it’s on a vacation or just a visit, speaks about the natural beauty. The lakes, rolling vineyards, and waterfalls are just a few of the lovely sites of natural beauty. Being around the water is relaxing, and our home prices and taxes are much lower than in the city.
