Why is now a great time to sell a home?
When sellers have asked in the past about when’s a good time to put a home on the market, I’ve traditionally told them that the spring and the end of summer are good months. However, everything changed in 2020, and today I’d tell them that right now is the time to act. So what makes my current advice different? Well, there are a few reasons why now is such a great time to sell:
1. Historic low inventory. Both here and across the country, there are fewer homes for sale. This is important for sellers because it means that they have less competition from other sellers. Many home sellers are receiving multiple offers for their homes, and often sell for above asking price.
2. Low interest rates. Many buyers are trying to take advantage of our low interest rates. The lower the rates are, the more home they can buy.

3. Owners have more time to focus on needed maintenance. Staying inside at home allows people to focus on some potentially much-needed maintenance projects like cleaning and decluttering.
4. You can show off your home’s special features. Around this time of year, homes with special features like fireplaces and soft-lighting show very well, as they make the home feel cozy. You want potential buyers to be able to come to your home and imagine themselves living there.
